We have exciting news for all you beaders out there! Our new Beading tours are fully up and running. We will be working with some amazing Japanese bead artists.
The extra tour will run the same as the 2011 tour, details of which are below:
Autumn in Japan is spectacular. The colours of the maple stud the hills, temples are lit for evening viewings and Christmas, Japanese style is on its way. Attend beading workshops in Japan’s old capital.
Festival of Japan Tours include:
- Guide service from Newcastle or Manchester airport to Kyoto. Or meeting service at from Kansai airport to your hotel.
- 9 nights accommodation in Kyoto. Choose from Western or Ryokan, Japanese.
- Services of a knowledgeable Festival of Japan guide throughout your trip.
- Optional 4 day extension available.
- Up to £100 discount for every person who joins the tour on your recommendation.
- Up to £1200 discount available!·
- Groups of 4 to 10 people.
Day 1 Leave Newcastle to fly to Japan
Day 2 Arriving in Osaka and travel to Kyoto. Evening tour of Kyoto, after a rest!
Day 3 Glass Studio bead making day. Temple visit
Day 4 Half day beading workshop
Day 5 Tour of both famous and private shrines in Kyoto. Full day tour
Kyomizu-dera evening tour.
Day 6 Free day - Full map given of best shops to visit.
OPTIONAL Evening entertainment Private geisha event
Day 7 Full day beading workshop
Day 8 Half day beading workshop
Day 9 Kitano Tenman-gu flea market - Kyoto tower shops - Supper - Trip to the top of Kyoto tower
Day 10 Kenninji-ji - Woodblock printer- Supper - Theatre performance
Day 11 Ryoan-ji and Kinkaku-ji - Supper in traditional Ryokan
Day 12 Leaving Osaka to fly to UK
The tour is reasonably paced, though on certain days we will need to walk up steps to temples etc though there are many places to rest. FULL details can be supplied on request. The cost will be £1500 per person, this is on a Bed only basis includes daily excursions, craft classes and most travel, but does not include flights* Itinerary will be finalised three weeks prior to leaving. Classes and teachers may change before this time.
TOTAL PRICE: £1,500 per person
Because we have classes on this tour the price is slightly higher than standard tours.
JAPANESE SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT: NONE
EXTEND YOUR TRIP by four days for an additional £75 per person, per night. Extentions are accommodation and breakfast only, and do not include the services of your guide.
BREAKING NEWS 09/06/10: We now also offer an incentive scheme for our tours too. Bring one extra person with you, whether it be spouse, family or friend and you get a £50 discount on your tour 2 people - £75 per person, 3 people - £100 per person. Over that will be capped at £100 per person up to 9 people. 10 or more and you go for £300!!!
